Located in Cape May, New Jersey, Nun’s Beach is not a bad beachy that breaks over a sandy bottom. The waves here are easy to surf and can break for up to 100 meters providing fun sections for manoeuvres. Watch out for a storm drain pipe to the left. This spot is named after a convent on the shore.
What are the best surf conditions for Nun’s Beach?
Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend riding your standard shortboard here most days. This break will provide fun waves for all levels of surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and you can score some uncrowded waves (4/10). The best winds are from the Northwest. The best swells from the Northeast. Works best on a low to mid-tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temps rise to 25 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is best when the water temps drop to 4 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
