Located in Atlantic City, New Jersey, Ocean City is a fun jetty break that peels across a sandbar buildup. The waves here are pretty straightforward to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing fun sections for manoeuvres. Watch out for a steep, sucky drop.
What are the best surf conditions for Ocean City?
Gets good from waist high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This break is best for intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and is usually uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are offshore from the Northwest. The best swells are from the East or Northeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temps rise to 24 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is best when the water temps drop to 5 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
