Located in New Hampshire, The Wall is an excellent beach break that rolls over a rock and sand bottom. The waves here can be tricky to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some nice walls for turns and hacks.
What are the best surf conditions for The Wall?
Gets good from waist-high to double overhead, and handles decent size well. A longboard will work well here when the waves are small and a shortboard is the go when it gets bigger. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer depending on the size of the waves. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and there are always people on it (7/10). The best winds are from the West and Southwest. The best swells are from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 19 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is the call when water temperatures drop to 4 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
