Located in Northern Maine, Kennebunk Beach is a fun beach break that thunders over a sand bottom. The waves here can be steep and fast, breaking for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres.
What are the best surf conditions for Kennebunk Beach?
Gets good from head high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller here and a shortboard when the size steps up. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and can get quite crowded (9/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are big and from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 18 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is necessary in the 3-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
