Located in Northeastern Florida, Matanzas Inlet is a beach break/inlet setup that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here can be tricky at times to surf and break for up to 100 meters when good, providing some amazing sections for manoeuvres. The peaks here can be shifty and the currents strong.

What are the best surf conditions for Matanzas Inlet?

This spot gets good from around waist-high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most days and a shortboard when the surf picks up. The inlet here is suitable for all levels of surfer, just watch out for currents. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and is generally uncrowded (3/10). The best winds are from the Southwest.
