Located in Central Florida on the Eastern coast, Fort Pierce Jetty is a fun jetty set-up that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here can be tricky to surf at times as the energy wedges off the jetty, but the wave breaks for up to 200 meters and is generally hollow, providing some great barrel sections. South swells are shadowed here, locals can be a bit grumpy, and sharks are quite consistently around.
What are the best surf conditions for Fort Pierce North Jetty?
Gets good from waist-high to overhead. A longboard will work great here most days and a shortboard is best when the size begins to pick up. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (6/10) and is generally very crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the West. The surf works on all tides. The best swells come from the East, North, and Northeast.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise up to 29 degrees. In winter a springsuit is perfect in the 22-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
