What are the best surf conditions for Hobson County Park?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead, best in the winter. A shortboard is best here on most days. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and always has a crew on it (7/10). The best winds come from the Northeast. Best in winter swells but will work in the summer, the best swell directions are Northwest, South, Southwest, and West. This break will work on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 wetsuit in the summer here with the warmest water temperature a balmy 18 degrees. In the winter water temps drop to 13 degrees, necessitating a 4/3 wetsuit. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
