Located in Western Santa Barbara County, Southern California, Refugio state beach is an average point break that peels across a rock and sand bottom. The point is pretty mushy and slow, making the waves easy to surf for the full 150 meters that they break for. Perfect for longboarding and cruising. Camping nearby makes this a popular spot.
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. A longboard is the perfect board here for every day it breaks. This wave is best suited to beginners thru advanced surfers.
