Croatan Surf Report and Surf forecast

Located in Virginia, Croatan is a mediocre beachie setup that breaks over a sand bottom. There is also a left breaking jetty on the Northern End. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters putting up some great sections for manoeuvres.

What are the best surf conditions for Croatan?

Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most days and a shortboard when bigger. Croatan is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and will get very crowded in summers, but empty the rest of the year (7/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the Northeast. Works on all tides.
