Located in Delaware, Rehoboth Beach is an OK beachie that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here can be difficult at times and break for up to 150 meters providing some sections for manoeuvres and turns. Locals can mistake this for a high-quality wave and get aggressive when near the jetty. Don’t step on any toes and enjoy what’s on offer.
What are the best surf conditions for Rehoboth Beach?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when the size picks up. The beach is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and generally has a group of guys on it (6/10). The best winds are from the Northwest and West. The best swells are from the Northeast, East, and Southeast. Works fine on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temps rise to 25 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 5/4 wetsuit when water temps drop to 5 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
