Located in Delaware, Fenwick is a decent pier setup that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty short and fast usually, breaking for up to 150 meters throwing up some barrels when good.
What are the best surf conditions for Fenwick?
Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard when bigger. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (5/10) and can get busy in summers and weekends (5/10). The best winds are from the West. the best swells are from the East, Northeast, South, and Southeast. Works best on low to mid tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temps rise to 25 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 5/4 when water temps drop to 5 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
