More on Periscopes

Located in Sumbawa, Indonesia, Periscopes is an excellent right hand reef set up that offers up a long barreling wave when the conditions line up. The waves here can be a bit heavy and break for up to 150 meters over a coral reef until the hit the channel. On bigger swells the channel closes out.

What are the best surf conditions for Periscopes?

Gets good between chest high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard then step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will get busy at times (5/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, West, and Southwest. Works on a high tide best.
