Located in East Java, Indonesia, Speedies is a section of G-Land, the ultimate reef break, world-renowned for its seemingly endless, perfect, and consistent barrels. The waves here can be challenging and break for up to 300 meters in each section breaking over a coral reef. Speedies. As the name suggests is a fast, barreling wave from start to finish for up to 300 meters over the shallowest and sharpest part of the reef.
What are the best surf conditions for Speedies?
Gets good between waist high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is somewhat consistent (6/10) and will usually have a crew, but spread out (6/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works best on a mid to high tide, but will break at low as well.
