More on Nigg Bay
Located in Southeast Scotland, Nigg Bay is a fun beach break that offers up some good sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. There are also two reef breaks on either end of the bay. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand and boulder-covered bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Nigg Bay?
Gets good between waist-high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when small then a shortboard or step-up as the size increases. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on all tides.
