Located in Southeastern England, The Bill is a fun reef break that offers up both lefts and rights suitable for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 150 meters either way over a boulder covered bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for The Bill?
Gets good between chest high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are big and from the Southeast. Works on a high tide.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when temps plunge to 8 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
