Located in Southern England, Highcliffe is not a bad beach break that offers up some mushy sections good for longboarding and beginners. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Highcliffe?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here hardly breaks (2/10) and is generally uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when the water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
