Located in Southeastern England, Tidemills is a fun beach break that offers up some good sections for turns and hacks when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Tidemills?
Gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will have a local crew of guys on it when it does (6/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southeast and Southwest. Works on a low to mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 8 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
