Located in Southern England, Camber Sands is not a bad beach break that offers up some good sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 150 meters over a sand bottom. One of the more popular/historic breaks on the Southern Coast.
What are the best surf conditions for Camber Sands?
Gets good between waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and will usually have a crew on it (6/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South and Southwest.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when the water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 8 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
