Located in Southeastern England, Marina is a fun reef break that offers up some decent sections for performance manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a rock bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Marina?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is not consistent (3/10) and will usually have a competitive crew on it (6/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the East, South, Southeast, and Southwest. Works on a low tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when the water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 8 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
