Located in Southeastern England, Bracklesham Bay is not a bad beach break that offers up some decent waves for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a sand bottom. Fickle and hard to catch when good.
What are the best surf conditions for Bracklesham Bay?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here hardly ever breaks (2/10) and can get busy when it’s on with locals (5/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest. Works best on mid to high tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when temps plunge to 8 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
