Located in Newquay, England, Rolcarne Wedge is a punchy, good left wedge that offers up a good barrel and then wall for manoeuvres. The wedge here is not easy to surf and breaks for up to 50 meters. Watch out for the bodyboarders that will be everywhere when it is working.
What are the best surf conditions for Rolcarne Wedge?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here. Intermediate and advanced level surfers will find success here. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will always have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds are from the southeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on high tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
