Located in East Anglia, England, Mundesley is a half decent beach break that offers up good performance sections when the conditions line up. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom which is held together by a whole bunch of wooden groynes. It’s also a local swell magnet.
What are the best surf conditions for Mundesley?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not consistent (2/10) and will always have a crew when it is on (7/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the East, North, Northeast, Northwest, and Southeast. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 westuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 7 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
