Located in East Anglia, England, Lowestoft is a pretty good set-up of groynes that offer up some easygoing sections for longboarding or beginners. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Lowestoft?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard if the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here does no break often (3/10) and will always have a crew (7/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, North, Northeast, and Southeast. Works on a low to mid tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 7 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
