Located in East Anglia, England, East Runton is a fun beach break that offers up some decent sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. Probably the premier break in the county.
What are the best surf conditions for East Runton?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here sometimes has a wave (4/10) and will usually have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the East, North, Northeast, and Northwest. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 7 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
