More on Saunton Sands

Located in Northern Devon, England, Saunton Sands is an OK beach break that offers up some easy-going sections for longboarders and beginners. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters over a gently sloping sand bottom.

What are the best surf conditions for Saunton Sands?

Gets good between waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard if it really picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will always have a bunch of beginners and longboarders out (7/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on a low tide best.

We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer More...
