Located in West Cornwall, England, Perranporth is a fun beachie that offers up some decent sections for manoeuvres when the conditions line up. Look out for a long left in front of the river mouth if the sand has been shaped right. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Perranporth?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here usually has something to ride (5/10) and will generally be uncrowded (4/10). The best winds are from the Southeast. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. Works on a low to mid tide best.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
