What are the best surf conditions for Bude – Summerleaze?
Gets good between waist high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. All levels of surfers will find something here. The surf here is somewhat consistent (5/10) and will always have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells are from the Northwest, Southwest, and West. The hollow left works at low tide and the beachie works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
