Located in South Devon, England, Wembury is an excellent left point set-up that offers long walls for turns and hacks all the way down the line. The waves here can be challenging to surf and break for up to 200 meters off of some rocks and over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Wembury?
Gets good between waist high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when smaller and a shortboard the step up as the size picks up. This is not a spot to learn, best for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here will not break often (3/10) and will be insanely crowded when it does (9/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are big and from the Southwest and South. Works through all the tides.
We recommend wearing a 3/2 in the summer when water temperatures rise to 17 degrees. In the winter a 5/4 is best when water temperatures drop to 9 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
