More on Sauveterre

Located in Vendee, France, Sauveterre is really two rock reef breaks. The first is simpler to surf, but not so hollow. The second is harder to surf and gets quite hollow. Both are rights and both handle size well. They break for up to 100 meters.

What are the best surf conditions for Sauveterre?

Gets good from waist high to double overhead. A longboard is good for the smaller days, but bring a shortboard and a step up for when the swell is pumping. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and can get crowded when the waves are on (8/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Northwest and Southwest. Works well well on all tides.
