More on Plage Du Loch

Located in Loire Atlantique in France, Plage Du Loch is a well known and consistent beach break. The waves here can be tricky to surf at times and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. The walls put up usually aren’t hollow, but provide excellent opportunities for manoeuvres.

What are the best surf conditions for Plage du Loch?

Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when it is smaller and a shortboard when the size steps up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer depending on the size. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and therefore gets quite crowded (8/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest and West. Works best on a low to mid-tide.More...
