More on Mosca Point

Located in Gran Canaria South, Mosca Point in an excellent left-hand point break that offers up long, high-performance and barreling walls when the conditions come together. The waves here are heavy and difficult to surf well, breaking for up to 300 meters over a boulder-covered bottom.

What are the best surf conditions for Mosca Point?

Gets good between head high and triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard or a step-up as the size increases. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf isn’t consistent (4/10) and will be crowded with a vibe (8/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East and Northeast. Works on a low to mid-tide best.

We recommend wearing a springsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 22 More...
