Located in Northern Baja, Mexico, Punta Camalu is a fun point break that offers up long rippable walls when the conditions line up. The waves here require a bit of skill to ride and break for up to 200 meters over a rock and sand bottom. Kelp keeps it glassy.
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard or step-up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will almost never be crowded (3/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the South, Southwest, and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini More...
