More on Queenscliff, Sydney (Manly)
Queenscliff or Queensie is the north end of Manly Beach, Sydney, just follow the road or footpath past the stormwater pipe and you’re there.
The wave is a beach break that varies in quality depending on the swell, wind and banks. Often (in south swells) Queenscliff picks up the most swell of Manly Beach so if the south end is small keep going north to Queensie. Generally fairly crowded and keep at eye out for the local talent who are unforgiving. Waves can be anything from very full, rolling waves for mals or beginners to A-frame barrels big enough to park a small car in. The river mouth can provide good banks. Keep an eye out for changing banks after heavy rains. More...
