Located in between Newcastle and Forster in New South Wales, Anna bay is a fun but heavy reef break over a rock bottom. The waves here are generally powerful and can break for up to 100 meter in blisteringly fast sections that are nigh unmakeable. This spot is a historic venue for bodyboarders to come to, and will deliver pounding wipeouts or wonderful rides.
Gets good between head high and double overhead. We recommend a shortboard or a step up here. Anna Bay is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers.
