More on Ntlonyane
Located on the Wild Coast of South Africa, Ntlonyane is a super remote but high-quality right-hand point break. Getting here is problematic, and to stay, you’ll have to arrange accommodation with locals on the reserve. Wildlife can be an issue here, especially sharks. The wave itself is a classic right point that barrels on multiple sections and creates a high-performance wall at others. The waves here are difficult to surf and break for up to 300 meters (984 feet) over a rock and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Ntlonyane?
Gets good from chest high to triple overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then stepping up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will generally be uncrowded (3/10). More...
