Located in Rhode Island, 1st Beach (Eastons Beach) is not a bad beach break that rolls over a sandy bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some nice mush for longboarders and beginners.
What are the best surf conditions for 1st Beach?
Gets good from waist-high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard every day here. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not consistent (2/10) and can get busy during the summers (5/10). The best winds are from the North. The best swells are from the Southeast. Works best on mid-tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 21 degrees. In winter a 5/4 wetsuit is necessary for the 3-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
