Located just south of Boston in Massachusetts, Green harbor is a halfway decent jetty setup that breaks over a sand bottom. The waves here are pretty easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some good sections for manoeuvres. The waves down the line are a bit sloppy, cutbacks are the move of choice here.
What are the best surf conditions for Green Harbor?
Gets good from waist high to overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here when it is smaller and a shortboard if it has enough juice. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here does not break often (3/10) and can get crowded (7/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. It needs a big East or Northeast swell to even begin to break. Works best on mid to high tides.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 20 degrees. In winter we recommend wearing a 5/4 wetsuit with temps dropping to 3 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
