Located in Palm Beach county on the East coast of the South of Florida, Lantana is a mediocre beach break that rolls over a sand bottom. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters providing some mushy sections for longboarding. Good for peaky windswell and not much else.
What are the best surf conditions for Lantana?
Gets good from waist-high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard here most days and a shortboard when it gets bigger (rarely). This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is not consistent (3/10) and can get busy on weekends and holidays (5/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East and Southeast. Works best on mid to high tides.
We recommend wearing board shorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 30 degrees. In winter the attire is the same when water temps only drop to 23 degrees. See the water temperature chart below for more data on this.
