Located in Costa Verde, Peru, Punta Roquitas is a fun beach break with a jetty that offers up some rippable waves when the conditions line up. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters (about 328 feet) over a boulder and sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Punta Roquitas?
Punta Roquitas gets good between waist-high and overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will usually have a crew (6/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the South and Southwest. Works on a low to mid tide.
We recommend wearing a spring suit in the summers when water temperatures rise to 22°C (about 72°F). In the winter, a 3/2 wetsuit is best when water temperatures drop to 16°C (about 61°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
