Located in South Piura, Peru, Yacila is an alright beach break set up that offers up some closeout-prone barrels in summertime swells. The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 50 meters over a sand bottom. It’s popular with bodyboarders.
What are the best surf conditions for Yacila?
Yacila gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is pretty consistent (6/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the southeast. The best swells are from the northwest and west. Works on all tides.
