The waves here are challenging to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a boulder-covered bottom. It is consistent here, and the swell direction will dictate whether the left or right is the go-to.

Puntas Rocas gets good between chest-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard and then a step up as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced level surfers. The surf here is consistent (8/10) and will generally be uncrowded due to the number of options in the area (3/10). The best winds are from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest and West. It works best on a mid to high tide.
