Located in Littoral Paulista, Brazil, Pinheiro is a quality beach break that offers up some rippable walls when the conditions line up. The waves here require some skill to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a sand bottom. The remoteness cuts the crowds a bit but only a bit.
What are the best surf conditions for Pinheiro?
It gets good between chest-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard, then a step up as the size increases. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is somewhat consistent (6/10) and will generally have a crew on it (6/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. It works on all tides.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round as water temperatures range between 29°C (84°F) and 26°C (79°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
