Located in West Ceara, Brazil, Taaba is a good but highly consistent beach break that offers up some rippable waves more often than not. The waves here can be a bit challenging to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Taaba?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard if smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is consistent (7/10) and will have a crew but there are plenty of peaks (7/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the North, Northeast, East, or Southeast. Works on a mid-tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures vary between 29°C (84°F) and 27°C (81°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
