Located in West Ceara, Brazil, Pecem is a harbour entrance with a long left off the jetty on very certain conditions. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 100 meters (328 feet) over a rock and sand bottom. Much more popular with windsurfers than surfers.
What are the best surf conditions for Pecem?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for intermediate and advanced-level surfers. The surf here is not the most consistent (4/10) and will get busy at peak times (5/10). The best winds are from the Southwest. The best swells are from the Northeast. Works on a low tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year round. Water temperatures vary between 29°C (84°F) and 27°C (81°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
