Located in Pernambuco, Brazil, Maracaipe is an alright but highly consistent beach break that offers up some fun waves that break on the outside and then reform a couple of times onto the shore break. The waves here are easy to surf and break for up to 50 meters (164 feet) over a sand bottom.
What are the best surf conditions for Maracaipe?
Gets good between waist-high and double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller and a shortboard as the size picks up. This break is suitable for all levels of surfer. The surf here is very consistent (8/10) and will usually have a crew on it (6/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells are from the East, South, and Southeast. Works on a mid to high tide best.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini year-round. Water temperatures vary between 29°C (84°F) and 26°C (79°F). See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
