Located in Washington, Westport is a fun break that comes off of a jetty. This is one of the only publicly accessible, consistent beaches in the state. The waves here can be a bit tricky at times, breaking for up to 100 meters providing some excellent tubing sections. Watch out for pollution.
What are the best surf conditions for Westport?
Gets good from waist high to double overhead. We recommend riding a longboard or shortboard when bigger. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here is decently consistent (7/10) and will usually have a crew on it (7/10). The best winds come from the Northeast. The best swells are from the Southwest and West that rebound off the jetty. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 5/4 wetsuit year-round. In summer the warmest water temperatures reach 12 degrees. In winter the water temps drop to 7 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
