Located in Washington, Hobuck Beach is an OK beach break that breaks over a sand bottom. You need to hike for some distance to get here, the spot is extremely isolated. The waves here require a bit of skill to surf and break for up to 100 meters providing some great sections for manoeuvres. Basically an average beach break with no one ever out.
What are the best surf conditions for Hobuck Beach?
Gets good around the overhead mark. We recommend riding a longboard when smaller (god luck hiking in with it) and a shortboard when bigger. This beach is suitable for all levels of surfers depending on the swell. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and it will be solo surfing (1/10). The best winds are from the East. The best swells from the Northwest. Works on all tides depending on the swell and bars.
We recommend wearing a 5/4 year-round here. In winter the water temps drop to 7 degrees and in summer rise to 12. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
