Located in Washington state, Damon Point is a fun beach break that breaks over a lone sandbar. The waves here are steep and fast, breaking for up to 150 meters serving up some deep barrels on the right day. Usually nice and uncrowded, a good spot to check when the surf is too big elsewhere.
What are the best surf conditions for Damon Point?
Gets good from head high to double overhead. We recommend riding a shortboard here. This break is best for intermediate surfers and advanced surfers. The surf here is pretty consistent (7/10) and is usually uncrowded (4/10). The best winds come from the South. The best swells come from the Southwest and West. Works on all tides.
We recommend wearing a 5/4 wetsuit in the summer when water temperatures rise to 12 degrees. In winter a 5/4 is also best in the 7-degree water. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
