More on Garden City Pier

Located in South Carolina, Garden City Pier is an average pier setup that breaks over a well-formed sand bar. The waves here are easy to surf and usually crumbly, breaking for up to 100 meters providing some fun sections for manoeuvres.

What are the best surf conditions for Garden City Pier?

Gets good from waist high to overhead, does not handle more size. We recommend riding a longboard most days and a shortboard when it gets good. This break is suitable for all levels of surfers. The surf here does not get good often (4/10) and is usually insanely crowded (9/10). Offshore from the Northwest. Best swells from the East, South, and Southeast. Works on all tides.

We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 28 degrees. In More...
