Located in Georgia, Goulds Inlet is a fun beach setup, breaking over a sand bottom. The waves here can be difficult to surf, and access alone denies beginners the opportunity to try. The waves break for up to 150 meters providing some fun sections for manoeuvres. Takes a long paddle across a channel with a wicked strong current. Be careful.
What are the best surf conditions for Goulds Inlet?
Gets good from chest high to double overhead. This spot will love a longboard when smaller, but a shortboard prefered if the size picks up. This break is best suited to intermediate and advanced surfers. The surf here usually has a wave (5/10) and is almost always empty (3/10). The best winds are from the West. The best swells come from the Southeast. work best on a mid to high tide.
We recommend wearing boardshorts or a bikini in the summer when water temperatures rise to 29 degrees. In winter a 4/3 is best when temps plunge to 14 degrees. See the temperature chart below for more data on this.
